Leigh, who was a General Manager for Crown Carveries for over four years, has employed a whole new team at the Sergison Arms since taking on the role.

Leigh, said: “Having been in hospitality most of my life I am passionate about guest experiences whether it be couples, families or family get-togethers. I love seeing guests have a good time and enjoying the hearty, country pub food we’ve prepared.

“We’ve made some fantastic additions to the Sergison Arms team including our new Assistant Manager, Paul McIntyre, who has over 20 years’ experience in the pub trade running his own pub, and new Head Chef, Karl Redford, who for over 29 years has been running a number of kitchens on the south coast. Together, we want to re-establish this pub back at the heart of the community and offer our guests exceptional service and delicious food for all the family to enjoy.”

The Sergison Arms will maintain its traditional rustic charm and décor, with its unique inglenook fireplace inviting guests out of the cold and inviting them to put their feet up in one of the pub’s many ‘cosy nook’ areas – perfect for enjoying a bottle of wine, or a pint of their many regional cask ales.

Formerly known as The Dolphin, The Sergison Arms is named after the Sergison family, who historically owned large areas of farmland in and around Haywards Heath. Dating back to the 16th century, it is thought to be one of the oldest buildings in the town.

Whether you’re planning a dinner with friends or Sunday lunch with the family, the Sergison Arms will give guests that home from home feeling, with open log fires, plenty of rustic country charm, and a relaxing, laid-back cosy atmosphere.”
