Sussex Euro MP in Financial News’ Top 100 women
Sharon Bowles MEP, who represents Sussex in the European Parliament, has been named on a list of the 100 ‘most influential’ women working in European finance, by leading industry newspaper, the Financial News.
This year’s FN100 Influential Women list features ‘those engaged in the regulatory debate and formulating a response to the Eurozone crisis.’
Sharon, who also chairs the European Parliament’s influential Economic and Monetary Affairs Committee, said: “I am flattered to have been named on this year’s FN100 Influential Women list as it is acknowledgment of the long hours and hard work.
“As Chair of the European Parliament’s economic committee, I will continue to contribute to the debate surrounding the Eurozone crisis and help shape financial legislation.
“It is a difficult time for Europe right now and I sincerely hope that countries see sense, come together, and do what is needed to get through the crisis.”
