Crane hits electrical cables in Burgess Hill

Fire crews were called after an overhead electrical cable was hit by an LGV mounted crane in Theobald Road, Burgess Hill.

The incident happened on Monday, April 27, with crews being called to the scene at 11.06am.

The cable was isolated by an engineer from the National Grid. West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service sanded over a small spillage of hydraulic fluid from the crane and removed the crane from the cable.

They left the scene at 12.31pm.
