Boy suffers concussion in Burgess Hill robbery

A 14-year-old boy suffered a concussion after he was assaulted and robbed in a Burgess Hill skatepark.

A police appeal said the victim was with his friends when he was attacked and his bag stolen at St John’s Park, St John’s Road between 4.15pm and 4.45pm on Monday (May 2).

A Sussex Police spokesman said a 14-year-old boy from Haywards Heath was arrested on suspicion of assault robbery. He was questioned and bailed until July 4.

Anyone who witnessed the incident was asked to contact police by emailing 101@sussex.pnn.police.uk or ring 101 quoting serial 989 of 02/05.
