Bus shelter set on fire in Hassocks

Firefighters were called after a bus shelter was set on fire.

The Burgess Hill crew left for the scene in London Road, Hassocks at about 8am today (Wednesday May 25).

A spokesman for West Sussex Fire and Rescue Service said Sussex Police and Hassocks Parish Council have been informed that the fire was started deliberately.

Firefighters used a hose to put out the flames, which damaged ten per cent of the shelter, she added.
