Police warning after thefts of lead in Mid Sussex

Police are warning businesses and householders in Mid-Sussex to be on the alert after a series of lead thefts from buildings in the area.

On Thursday 27 March, lead was stolen from the roof of the Cooperative store in High Street, Lindfield.

Police have also received reports of a further eight lead thefts in Haywards Heath during March.

These other thefts happened on 8 March in Caxton Way, on the 10th in Haywards Road and St Wilfreds Way, on the 14th in Iona Way, on 15th in Scaynes Hill Road. on 19th at the One Stop shop in Walnut Park, on 21st in Perrymount Road, and on 1 April in New England Road.
