Firefighters have brought a fire in Burgess Hill under control.
However, two private campervans, one commercial van and three private cars have been all 100 per cent destroyed by flames.
The adjacent building in Consort Way was not affected but was evacuated as a precaution.
Councillor Cherry Catherine who works at Flowserve said: “A van went up in the VW Heritage van company next door to us and that set off a few other cars.
“There’s been a lot of thick black smoke but it’s under control now.
“There are still three fire engines, an ambulance and a paramedic but I haven’t seen anyone stretchered off so hopefully it’s just precautionary.
“It’s right next door to us so there’s a few hot spots in our building,
“We’ve got 70 employees standing out in the street at the moment.”
The cause of the blaze is believed to have been accidental, reports West Sussex Fire and Rescue.
