Friends and family of three-year-old Florence Leppard have walked 14 miles to raise money for a charity which has supported her.

The group, nicknamed Florrie’s Warriors have already raised £3,000 for the Royal Marsden Cancer charity.

It was a great day, superbly organised and very rewarding to complete.

But the fundraisers have not stopped there – walking 14 miles for the Marsden March on March 22.

Kerry Leppard, Florence’s mother said: “We walked 14 miles, dressed in a lot of pink, from the Marsden in Chelsea to the Marsden in Sutton.

“The group of 11 of us comprised myself and Kirsten King– we met at the Marsden in Sutton when both Florence and Peter were receiving treatment – Peter had leukaemia and has been clear for 6 months – as well as some of our friends and family.

“Florence, Daisy and Elsa were at the finish line with daddy to meet us.

“It was a great day, superbly organised and very rewarding to complete.”

Florence was diagnosed with a rare type of liver cancer in May 2014. She has had seven cycles of chemotherapy as well as liver surgery at Kings College Hospital, London and is now in remission.

Parents Kerry and John Leppard have thanked the community and friends and family for their support.
