Have your say

On Saturday: there will be falconry displays at High Beeches Gardens as well as an opportunity to take a hawk for a walk! By this I mean that along with a member of staff from Breck Falconry, you can take a wander around part of the Gardens with a hawk on your arm, if you so wish! Once you have seen the birds in flight and resting on your arm, why not take the time to have a look at the woodland and water garden. I understand that the Tea Rooms are open from 10 am and I think the Gardens may be open a little earlier than usual but for more information about this and any other event taking place, call 01444 400589.

Summer holiday events: As the school holidays are rapidly approaching, I am sure that many parents will be wondering how to keep the children occupied and amused over the coming weeks; I might have an idea to help with this! I have seen details of a Bushcraft and Forest School which will offer children the opportunity of learning safe fire building and lighting techniques; natural shelter building; making bow saws and hand drills; learning how to identify woodland trees and flowers and then after all this activity, enjoying a mug of hot chocolate and toasting marshmallows. How do you sign your child up for this and where is it being held? Get in touch with Marc Easton who lives in Bolney; his email address is bushcraftmarc@gmail.com and he is looking to start a Saturday Club if there is enough interest.
If you know of any other activities that are taking place over the summer holidays and would like me to mention them here, do get in touch and I will see what I can do. Please bear in mind that I will need to have the details at the latest, the Thursday before you would like it to be mentioned here.
