DON’T FORGET the Christmas Craft Night at the Hardware Shop this evening, Thursday, from 6.30pm. In addition to trying the various crafts on offer, you can browse in the Shop for a variety of Fair Trade gifts and cards as well as other Christmas goods and wrapping paper, some of which are at last year’s prices. And so the countdown to Christmas begins.

THE PARISH COUNCIL meets next week, 26 November from 7.30pm in the Pavilion, followed by the meeting of the Planning Committee; the agendas for both meetings will be posted on the board outside the Spar Shop. As always, there will be an opportunity to raise any questions or concerns relating to any item on either agenda as they are both open to everyone in the Parish, after all the council is elected by us to represent our views and concerns to local government, ie Mid Sussex District Council as well as West Sussex County Council on some issues.

COMMUNITY BUS: I briefly mentioned that details of the Community Bus trips for early next year had been released. Other than the trip to Holiday on Ice, Passion, on 9 January, the other trips are 4 January, Holmbush Retail Park, Shoreham; 2 February, London and The Royal Albert Hall Tour (optional); 1 March, Milestones Museum, Basingstoke; 5 April, Paradise Park, Newhaven; 19 April Ikea, Croydon; 3 May Lords Cricket Ground Tour; 7 June Eltham Palace and Gardens; 21 June Roundstone Garden Centre, Ferring; 5 July the ever popular Peter’s Magical Mystery Tour. If any of these trips is of interest, speak to Christina on 400212 or see her in the Hardware Shop and put your name down. To secure your place payment must be made a month in advance and if you have to cancel at short notice, unless someone is able to take your place, unfortunately they will not be able to refund the fare.
