Have you booked your seat on the Community Bus trip to Holmbush Park – Marks & Spencer/Next – leaving on Tuesday, 4 January? Have you booked your ticket to Holiday on Ice – Passion on Saturday 9 January in Brighton? If the answer is ‘no’ to either or both of these but you are interested in going, I would suggest you get in touch with Christina on 400212 or call in at the Hardware Shop and get your name down quick, time is moving on! The cost of these trips is £6 for Holmbush Park and £5 for the fare plus £28 for the ticket, £15 for children for Holiday on Ice. I would mention here that the Hardware Shop is usually closed from Christmas Eve to New Year’s Eve so please don’t think you can book it during this time as you won’t be able to and you might have left it too late by the time they reopen!
Whilst talking about shops being closed, I was having a conversation with Vince in the Spar Shop recently and if I recall correctly, they are thinking of closing for a longer time than they usually do over the Christmas period, so please do keep an eye out for notices of when all the shops in the village may be closed so that you don’t get caught out!
As this is my final column for 2015, I would like to thank everyone for their support of my column and for your lovely comments, I do appreciate them . it is nice to know my ramblings don’t put you off! I hope you and your families have a peaceful and happy Christmas and that 2016 brings you all you wish for. My next column will be on Thursday, 7 January; if you have an event happening in January that you would like me to mention, please feel free to get in touch, my email address is above or give me a ring on 07887 535638 – this applies to anything you would like me to mention at any time, not just in January!
