The Hardware Shop: have recently issued their Program for the next three months, the first event in May being a Knit, Natter & Cream Tea today, Thursday, 5 May from 2.30 pm. As we are supposed to be in spring now, if the weather is good, it may well be held outside! If you have some knitting on the go, take it along; if you don’t, just take yourself along, at least you won’t run the risk of getting some jam or cream on your knitting! On the serious side, if you would like to go, but would appreciate some assistance crossing the High Street, please call and let them know, the number is 400212. There is a suggested donation of £2 to help towards the cost of the tea, which I’m sure will be well worth the outlay.

The Parish Hall Management Committee: held their Annual General Meeting last month which was reasonably well attended which was good to see. Those attending were informed that the finances of the hall are looking very healthy and despite the uncertainty over the future of the Hall, it is still being used which was back up by the fact that it is more or less fully booked for May which is good to know. Unfortunately, there was nothing to report on what the future holds for the Hall other than Slaugham Parish Community Land Trust are in the process of taking on the lease of the for the Hall in the short term to ensure that it can be used for as long as possible.
