The next Hassocks Village Market takes place on Saturday 22nd August on the National Tyres Forecourt from 9:00am – 1:00pm.

Nearly opposite the market, Hassocks United Reformed Church will be holding its usual Traidcraft Stall in the forecourt of the Church from 10:00am to 12:00noon. There are lots of delicious foods etc at competitive prices - and profit goes back to the producers of the goods - giving the Third World a better chance to improve their own lives. Coffee is served in the foyer.

The Mid Sussex District Council Mobile Refuse Freighter will be in Belmont Close, (off London Road) on Sunday 23rd August from 10.00am – 12.00noon.

Also on Sunday, a Craft & Vintage Fair is being held in Adastra Hall, Keymer Road from 1.45pm to 5.00pm. Lots of interesting stalls and refreshments cafe.

The Hassocks Townswomen Guild will be meeting on Tuesday 25th August at the Pauline Thaw Centre, Dale Avenue from 2.30pm where the speaker is Helen Poole on ‘Cleopatra’.

The next Alzheimer’s Society Dementia Café takes place on Wednesday 26th August at the Pauline Thaw Centre, Dale Avenue from 6.00pm to 8.00pm. De-Café is an evening support group for people living with dementia, their carers, friends and family to meet people who are in a similar situation. It offers the opportunity to talk and learn from each other, receive support and advice from staff and volunteers of the Alzheimer’s Society, and to generally enjoy a social evening in a safe and secure environment, with light bites and sometimes live entertainment.
