British Transport Police officers have released CCTV images of people they would like to speak to following cases of cycle theft in Sussex over the past few months.

In Mid Sussex investigators are appealing to the public to come forward to help identify the man in this picture taken at Hassocks Station.

BTP would like to speak to him after a bike and its lock were stolen from Hassocks Station between 8.30pm and 11.30pm on Thursday, 4 October.

PC Billy Burstow said the officers investigating nine cases of cycle thefts from stations across Sussex have followed a number of lines of enquiry and circulated images on police intelligence systems to try and get names of the people.

He said: “Now we are asking members of the public to help identify them. If you know any of these people and can tell us who they are, then we want to hear from you.”
