COFFEE MORNING at Holy Trinity Church Saturday 25th July from 10am to 12 noon. The guest speaker this month is Colin Matthews who, as Chair of the Hurstpierpoint Festival committee, is coming to talk about the exciting events and activities planned for this year’s festival in September. Do go along to find out what will be on offer this year, ask questions about the festival, and enjoy coffee and cakes whilst browsing our various stalls of arts, crafts, jams, cards etc. Everyone is very welcome and admission is free.

HOLIDAY FARE The Community Shop has your holiday needs covered. With school finished it has plenty of very reasonably priced childrens toys, books and jigsaws to help keep them amused, and adults there is a big choice of paperbacks at 30p for your holiday reading.

FESTIVAL HELP NEEDED The festival this year begins on Saturday 12th September and ends with a big party on Saturday 26th. To ensure all events are as enjoyable as possible for everyone the committee needs lots of help. During the festival help is needed to set up the different venues, and varied tasks like taking tickets, greeting and seating, serving behind the bar and clearing up afterwards. Also people to deliver the brochures round the area. If you think you could offer some time to assist contact Stephanie or Ray Traynor at committee@hurstfestival.org.uk.

A MID SUMMER NIGHT’S DREAM set in the 1902s by the Hurst Players is on until 26th July in the garden of the New Inn. Tickets from Vanilla, 40 High Street telephone 01273 834506 from 9am to 5pm.
