MID SUSSEX RAMBLERS: are arranging a local walk on Wednesday 29 June starting in the Trinity Road car park at 7pm. It will be a circular walk to the south of Hurstpierpoint at a leisurely pace for 4 miles. Led by Phil contact on 01273 835931.
ST LAWRENCE FAIR: pre events in the run up to the big day started with the Pet Show and Hurst’s Got Talent last week. Do look out for your programmes that are being delivered to your door. Fair Day is Saturday 2 July, this year’s theme is 60, and the Friday before has various fun things for all ages. Available when ever you have spare time and fancy a wander along the High Street is this year’s shop window competition. Entitled 0 – 60 the game is to spot the random numbers between 0 and 60 hidden in the window displays up to Thursday 30 June. Entry forms from Mishon Mackay cost only 50p. Perhaps they should have made it 60p!
DATE FOR THE DIARY Following on from last year’s magical outdoor production of ‘A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ the same directorial team will be bringing to Hurst another of Shakespeare’s plays. This year Gin Palace Productions is proud to present the captivating Twelfth Night, set in 1949, with a small cast of exceptionally talented local actors. Join in on a light-hearted journey to Illyria, a land where illusion and fantasy collide and appearances are not quite what they seem, whilst the cast tell the timeless story of merriment, misplaced ambition and unrequited love.
