Triangle Leisure Centre has said it is working to improve its booking system, in response to a complaint from an ‘frustrated’ customer.

Mike Harrison-Roberts, of Wivelsfield Green, said he has spent the last few months complaining to the leisure centre, in Burgess Hill, about the difficulties he has using its online booking system.

He said: “I’ve had ongoing issues with the online booking system. It’s a total and utter shambles.”

Mr Harrison-Roberts said he books classes regularly and knows he can book up to four weeks in advance but the system sometimes stops him booking classes just a few days in advance.

“Trying to book a class is a complete frustrating nightmare,” he said.

“Apart from being incredibly slow, the days of the week and times are all totally jumbled up.

“When I do finally find the class I want, I click on the class and it says it’s too soon to book!”

In response to the customer’s complaints, a spokesperson for Places for People Leisure Management Ltd, said improvements will be made to the site at the end of September.

He said: “The system is used by more than 1,000 people a month to book their activities. As with many online systems, improvements can always be made, but our system works and is constantly being improved.

“Improvements have been made in the last month to the speed of the system and further improvements will be made at the end of September that will make the booking of classes even simpler.”
