He denies Crawley face an easier task after their difficult opening five games produced six points.

Dack said: “Anyone who thinks the next five games will be easy will have another thing coming.

“Mark Yates and I have been in this division for a few years and can tell you any team can beat each other, top of bottom, as we have seen in abundance already this season.

Mansfield this Saturday is as difficult as they get. They have a new manager (Adam Murray) who has put his stamp on the team with some new players and they are difficult to beat at home.

“They are sitting on nine points, albeit having played one more game than us.

“We’ve had a good two weeks since the last game and playing the friendly against Fulham was great as it allowed some of the players hwo haven’t been playing to get game time.

“A few niggling injuries have had time to rest but we are keen to get playing again at the start of a very busy period for us.”
