Quiet life: We are approaching the time of year where not so much is going on in the village or so it seems to me. Please send me information about events you would like me to mention in this column. I cannot inform the Middy readers about village events if no-one communicates with me. I do not wish to repeat myself each week. Better not to write anything! So this is a cry for help! Thanks to the few who do give me details to pass on-much appreciated!

Lindfield Country Market: on Thursday 28th July from 10-11.15am in the King Edward Hall.

Saturday 30th July. Tunes and Tea Café: Celebrating 2016- a special year. This will take place at 3pm in the United Reformed Church. Presented by Lindfield URC Voices and friends. Free admission and refreshments. Donations will be shared between Kent, Sussex and Surrey Air Ambulance and the church.

The Adventurers Art Club Annual Exhibition: Saturday 30th July- Sunday 7th August. 10.00-17.30. ( Sundays 10-15.00.) King Edward Hall. Exhibition of members’ work, many different styles and mediums. Entry 50p.

For those of you who might have thought I have gone loopy over the last couple of weeks…there were errors not of my making where things got printed incorrectly. No, there will not be another Village Day till 2017!!
