£9k worth of watches stolen

TWO MEN have admitted burglary of a Haywards Heath jewellers.

Police discovered £9,500 worth of watches were stolen in the break-in at George Knight jewellers in The Orchards Shopping Centre just before 9pm on Sunday. The watches were recovered soon after the raid when police stopped a car on the A23 southbound slip road at Crawley.

Wayne Ringwood, 29, a window cleaner, of Avro Way, Wallington, Surrey, and Gavin Walter, 33, unemployed, of Green Wrythe Lane, Carshalton, Surrey, appeared at Mid Sussex Magistrates Court on Tuesday and both admitted burglary.Ringwood also admiited dangerous driving. Both were committed for sentencing at Crown Court.
