Accident closes A272 in North Chailey

The A272 Lewes Road in North Chailey is closed due to an accident and fallen power cables today (Thursday, March 14).

The road is closed between the B2183 Beggar’s Wood Road junction and the Church Road junction, because of an accident, ice and fallen power cables. There is a diversion in operation - via Beggar’s Wood Road and A275.

Haywards Heath police tweeted: “A272 Scaynes Hill to North Chailey likely to remain closed for most of the day while EDF attend to fallen power cables following RTC.”
