ART lovers should head for Ditchling this month where there is an art trail under the banner of the Brighton Festival Artists’ Open Houses.

The trail takes place over four week-ends in May, including Bank Holiday Monday.

Family members with links to the historic Guild of St Joseph’s and St Dominic are among the many artists and craftspeople working in and around the village today.

There are 19 venues in 15 locations, exhibiting a diverse range of high quality art and craft items in studios, workshops, galleries, pubs and restaurants.

Many venues are within easy walking distance of the village centre. The studios and workshops at Turner Dumbrell have some parking and there is overspill use of a nearby field if dry.
