Proving that small is beautiful, the Sussex Bonsai Group are staging a public show in Hassocks this weekend (August 30-31).
Members will gather for their annual show at South Downs Nurseries in the Brighton Road where they will be showing a vast aray of bonsai.
Hundreds of people are expected to visit and can speak to the bonsai enthusiasts who will give advice and demonstrations on how to look after the miniature trees.
Ken Norman, president of the bonsai group, said: “We hold regular workshops for repotting and styling, together with a host of demonstrations.
“The Group also host shows and demonstrations locally, with numerous experts on hand to give advice and assistance. It is a real pleasure to be able to have our annual show at South Downs Nurseries.”
As a Club, we are passionate about promoting and widening the awareness of bonsai to as many people as possible. We hope that these shows and demonstrations bring together the bonsai and Japanese communities to share and enjoy our events.
