Burgess Hill to lose Blockbuster store
The Blockbuster store in Burgess Hill is to close.
But the Haywards Heath branch will remain open at present.
It was confirmed to the Mid Sussex Times today that Burgess Hill was on the latest list of closures, amounting to 164 stores.
A spokesman for the firm said the actual closure date would depend on individual stores.
A statement said: “The remaining stores will continue to trade as usual whilst administrators progress negotiations with bidders.
There will be a number of closing down promotions across the stores to supplement those already on offer across the estate.”
Staff in the stores affected by the closures will be facing redundancy.
