Chainsaw artist creates amazing sculptures in Mid Sussex
A chainsaw artist from West Hoathly has drawn inspiration from Tulleys Farm Maize Maze for his latest sculpture, a 6ft tall Native American Indian Chief's head.
Part of the farm has been sectioned off so visitors can safely watch David Lucas in action as he carves using only chainsaws.
Speaking at Tulleys Farm in Turners Hill Mr Lucas said: "I saw the aerial photographs of Tulleys Farm's Native American Indian Maze and thought it would make an excellent sculpture.
I have been doing the chainsaw carving live over two days, so visitors could see the sculpture emerge from the wood. Most carvings can be done using a single chainsaw and its amazing how much detail you can get."
