Chance to have a say on the future of
town’s play area

Residents have the chance to choose some new playground equipment for the Forest Fields play area in Haywards Heath.

Mid Sussex District Council is looking to expand and improve the range of play equipment and has drawn up different options for people to consider.

“We are always looking for new ways to improve our playgrounds and give local people the best-possible family play experience,” said cllr Pru Moore, cabinet member for leisure and sustainability. “We have an opportunity here to invest in some new and improved play equipment and it will be great if we can get local people involved.”

People will be asked if the informal kick-about area in the park would be better with an all-weather surface, such as artificial turf, as well as their thoughts on the playground equipment.

Cllr Moore added: “The council has drawn up some options but it is the views of local children and parents that really count because they are the ones who will use this playground every day.

“Now is the perfect time for them to let us know if they think these proposals are a good idea and which ones they prefer.”
