Company pledges support to town event

Strictly Come Gardening in Haywards Heath is being supported by Southern Water.

The event’s organisers applied to Southern Water’s Community Chest grants scheme which supports charities and good causes with donations towards projects.

Kevin Buck, who co-ordinates Southern Water’s Community Chest programme, said: “We are a nation of gardeners and events like this are a great way to encourage more people to take up what is a satisfying and productive hobby.”

Nicola Bird, manager at The Orchards, said: “We’re delighted with the enthusiastic community response to Strictly’s challenge. With a little help from Southern Water, Haywards Heath will certainly bloom this year.”

The event will be at The Orchards Shopping Centre in April.
