Court results - Mid Sussex

The following are results contributed by HM Court Service, of cases sentenced by Sussex Northern magistrates sitting at Horsham and Crawley.

Charlotte Harris, 24, of Ely Close, Crawley, was banned from driving for 14 months, with a £260 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. She had pleaded guilty to drink driving on the A23 at Handcross.

Aaron Jones, 18, of New England Road, Haywards Heath, was banned from driving for a year, with a £200 fine, a £30 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to drink driving in New England Road, Haywards Heath.

Douglas Ormston, 41, of West Park Crescent, Burgess Hill, was jailed for 24 weeks, with an £80 victim services surcharge. He had been found guilty of burglary and theft of tools and equipment from a workshop in Hurstpierpoint, and admitted breaching a suspended sentence.

Luke Tucker, 45, of London Road, Handcross, was banned from driving for a year, with a £120 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving with illegal levels of cocaine in his blood in Coltsfoot Drive, Horsham.

Steven Alston, 40, of Greenacres, Steyning, was fined £300, with a £30 victim services surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to his licence. He had pleaded guilty to driving without due care and attention in Washington Road, Wiston.

Delphine Tumenta, 40, of Barrington Road, London, was fined £200, with a £20 victim services surcharge, £85 costs, and six penalty points added to her licence. She had pleaded guilty to two counts of speeding in London Road, East Grinstead.

Deke Walker, 31, of New Farthingdale, Dormansland, was given a 16 week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with a one year driving ban, an £80 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to driving while disqualified, driving without insurance, and driving without an MoT certificate, all in Moat Road, East Grinstead, and to resisting a police officer, and assaulting a police officer.

Jonathan Jempson, 33, of New Farthingdale, Dormansland, was banned from driving for two years, with a £120 fine, a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to failing to provide a blood alcohol sample, driving without insurance, driving without a licence, all in Ship Street, East Grinstead, and admitted breaching a suspended sentence.
