Daniel Joyce, 28, of Old Farm Close, Haywards Heath, was given a one year conditional discharge, with a £20 victim services surcharge, and £85 costs. He had pleaded guilty to resisting a police officer in Old Brighton Road, Langley Green.

Kim Maynard, 42, of Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill, was given an eight week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with £25 compensation, a £115 victim services surcharge, and £40 costs. She had pleaded guilty to theft of food from Budgens in Hassocks.

Arron Tilsley, 40, of Cyprus Road, Burgess Hill, was given an eight week jail sentence, suspended for a year, with £25 compensation, a £115 victim services surcharge, and £40 costs. He had pleaded guilty to two counts of stealing food - from a Co-op in Burgess Hill, and from Budgens in Hassocks - and to obstructing a police officer in Hassocks.

Aaron Reeve, 24, of no fixed address, was given a 12 week prison sentence, suspended for a year, with a £140 victim services surcharge. He had pleaded guilty to breaching a restraining order by going to an address in East Grinstead; to using threatening or abusive words or behaviour; and to displaying a threatening or abusive sign.
