Scouts make the lighting bolt sign

Cubs from Cuckfield (pictured doing Usain Bolt’s famous sign) raced up the pool at lightning speed to lift the winner’s trophy for the Mid Sussex District Scouts’ Swimming Gala.

The event, at The Triangle leisure centre in Burgess Hill, involved 23 teams competing over 38 races. In the Cubs’ section, Cuckfield won, followed by Bolnore Village, with 1st Ditchling and 1st Haywards Heath in joint third place.

For the Scouts, 1st Ditchling won, 1st Scaynes Hill was second and 1st Lindfield came third. District councillor Gordon Marples presented the trophies.
