Delays to train services in the Gatwick area

National Rail is reporting delays on First Capital Connect and Southern services due to a person being hit by a train in Horley.

There are delays of up to 90 minutes between Gatwick Airport and East Croydon today (Monday, March 11).

Routes affected are: Brighton / Horsham, Three Bridges, Gatwick Airport / Reigate, Horley, Redhill, East Croydon and London Bridge / London Victoria. These services may be subject to last minute cancellations or alterations.

First Capital Connect services could be disrupted until 7pm.

Gatwick Express services are currently suspended and the changes will apply until approximately 4pm.

First Capital Connect passengers may use East Midlands Trains between London St Pancras International and Bedford and also Southern trains on any reasonable route

Southerm says on its website: Alternative Transport

Southeastern will accept Southern tickets between Hastings and London Bridge

South West Trains will accept Southern tickets between Havant

First Capital Connect will accept Southern tickets between Brighton and London

First Great Western will accept Southern tickets between Redhill and Guildford

London Underground will accept Southern tickets on any reasonable route

Southern will accept First Capital Connect tickets

Gatwick Express services will be suspended

London Buses will accept rail tickets between Croydon and Redhill (route 405)

Metrobus will accept rail tickets on the 100 route between Redhill and Three Bridges
