Disruption to London Victoria services on Sunday

A Southern train

A Southern train

On Sunday, March 16 engineering work is taking place between Battersea Park and Streatham Common with all lines closed.

This means that Southern services into and out of London Victoria will be diverted via Tulse Hill/Herne Hill and not call at Battersea Park, Clapham Junction, Balham and Streatham Hill.

Southern says: “A much reduced train frequency will be in operation because of this and trains to and from London Victoria will be very busy.”

An amended Southern train service will run between:

London Victoria and Brighton. From 8am, train services will not call at Preston Park, passengers are advised to use Brighton and Hove buses.

No Gatwick Express trains will operate and passengers should use Southern services.

Passengers are advised to allow extra time for their journey.

For full details of these changes, passengers are advised to use the National Rail Enquiries Journey Planner.
