Safe Haven for Donkeys in the Holy Land, which has its UK headquarters in Scaynes Hill, is calling on Sussex residents to recycle their old mobile phones to raise funds for the charity.
Wendy Ahl, from Safe Haven for Donkeys, said: “We have teamed up with forgottenmobile.com to recycle all those old phones people have laying around that they might have forgotten about or think aren’t worth anything because they’re so old.
“We would urge everyone to send their phones in and ask their family and friends to do the same, as regardless of age or condition, they are all worth something.”
Wendy added: “Phones can be dropped into either of our charity shops at 3 Station Road, Portslade or 74 Church Walk, Burgess Hill or just give us a call on 01444 831177 and we will send you out a freepost envelope to send your phones in for recycling.
“All funds raised will help us reach out to donkeys in distress in Israel and Palestine and we would be very grateful for any phones received.”
