A firm of funeral directors from Mid Sussex is in line for a Family Business of The Year title.
CPJ Field and Co has been shortlisted for the South East’s Family Business Of The Year 2013 Award.
The shortlist for the awards, nominated by the Family Business Unit, has recently been announced and the winners will be revealed at an evening reception hosted by Farrer and Co in London in June.
The results will be determined through a combination of a judging panel and an online vote.
The Family Business Of The Year Awards run throughout five different regions, these being; North of England, North Wales and Northern Ireland, Scotland, London and South East, South West, Thames Valley and South West and Midland and East Anglia.
Other nominations in the South East category include: Pexhurst Limited; Bishops Move; Jaques of London; Pimlico Plumbers; Floris London; House of Reeves; CF Hoad & Son Ltd; Romney Marsh Wools and Bastows.
CPJ Field & Co is a family-run business that traces its origins to the late 1600s; it currently operates over 30 branches across East and West Sussex, Surrey, Kent, Dorset, Buckinghamshire, Bedfordshire, Hertfordshire and South West London, which are owned and managed by the Field family.
Over the past three centuries, the Field family has assisted with the funeral arrangements of many prestigious figures from English heritage.
