Father Christmas helped by his elves moved in to the South Downs Heritage Centre in Hassocks on Saturday.
Burgess Hill Marching Youth Band was there to greet him and he was helped into his grotto by his elves, George and Edward Chappell from Bolnore Village, Haywards Heath.
Burgess Hill District Lions Club invited Santa to join them at the grotto to help raise money for good causes in the run-up to the festive season. He will be in residence every weekend on:
Saturdays: 10am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 4pm
Sundays: 10.30am - 12.30pm and 1.30pm - 3.30pm
Father Christmas is also in residence on December 24 for a
Christmas Eve Special 10am - 12.30pm.
Garden centre manager, Mark Hillyard, said: “The Lions will be raising money from the grotto for use on community projects to help those most in need in the local area.”
