Fire crews rescue bird in Rustington

A SEAGULL needed help getting out of a tricky situation yesterday (Wednesday, December 3).

At 3.30pm, fire crews from Littlehampton and Worthing were called to Sea Lane, Rustington, to help RSPCA officers release the bird, which was impaled on a lightening conductor, on the roof of a three-storey building.

An aerial ladder platform was used, and the gull was left in the care of the RSPCA.
