A former employee of the year at Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club has been promoted to conference and banqueting manager.
Richard Manktelow, who has worked at the Mid Sussex hotel for nearly 8 years, won Ashdown Park’s prestigious ‘Employee of the Year’ award in 2012 after being nominated by his fellow colleagues for his hard work and his high standards.
He has been given one of the most high profile roles at the hotel and will now be responsible for managing the complete Conference & Banqueting operation which includes the Richard Towneley Suite, a 20th Century chapel used as wedding and conference venue.
Richard said: “I’m so honoured to be given the opportunity to prove myself in this challenging role.
“I have worked at the hotel for a number of years and even won ‘Employee of the Year’ a couple of years ago, so it’s great to be given this fantastic new challenge. “
