Lindfield Preservation Society is asking people to urgently consider changes it feels need to be made to key plans for the area.
Lindfield Urban and Lindfield Rural parish councils recently published a draft Neighbourhood Plan for its public consultation stage.
The village preservation society says it is important that people ensure their views are with the two parish councils by tomorrow’s deadline.
It feels it is important that the Neighbourhood Plan makes a robust case for the kind of community in which people wish to live. It also believes the plan should act as a deterrent to further overdevelopment.
In a statement the society said: “In our view, the draft plan requires substantial revision if it is to achieve these objectives. It is vulnerable, in its present form, to challenges during the adoption process and to manipulation by speculative developers even if it were adopted.
The society says that for details of its comments and recommendations for strengthening the plan, people can go to the Lindfield Preservation Society website (www.lindfieldsociety.org.uk).
The Neighbourhood Plan is on Lindfield Parish Council’s website at www.lindfieldparishcouncil.gov.uk.
