Students at Burgess Hill School for Girls celebrated with almost 70% of their GCSE grades at A* or A.
For a third of the year group all grades were A*/A, and 89% of all examinations taken were graded A*-B, demonstrating the depth and breadth of their achievements.
The following girls gained nine or more A* grades: Zarina Budd, Leane Chan, Alicia Critchley and Tilly Loughton from Burgess Hill, Natasha Hoile of Scaynes Hill, Nikita Khandwala, Millie McQuillin from Lindfield, Camilla Ryan from Cuckfield and Imogen Watson.
Alicia Critchley, from Burgess Hill, who joined the Senior School, achieved nine A*s in Chemistry, Physics, Mathematics, Statistics, Religious Studies, French, English Language, English Literature, Latin and Biology.
Tilly Loughton, of Burgess Hill, and a student who started in the Junior School, achieved 9A*s in combined Science, History, Mathematics, French, Spanish, English Language, English Literature and Latin.
Nikita Khandwala, of East Grinstead, achieved nine A*s in Combined Science, History, Mathematics, Business, Spanish, English Language, English Literature and Latin.
There were outstanding results across every subject. In particular, all girls studying Music achieved A*/A grades and more than 80% of those studying Art & Design, Biology, Chemistry, Further Mathematics, Geography, Latin, Physics and Religious Studies also achieved A*/A grades.
Headmistress Ann Aughwane said: “It is particularly pleasing to see the strength of the girls’ success in English, Mathematics, Science and Languages which provide them with the best possible platform on which to build their futures, whatever theirpassion or skill.
“Individually they are delightful, and collectively they have been brilliant. I congratulate them and their teachers on a job well done.”
