Guides look for ways to ‘heat up’ 2013
The Haywards Heath division of Girl Guides hosted an afternoon tea to discuss how to ‘heat up’ Guiding in 2013.
This was followed by a presentation about South Africa and the work of the Coco’s Foundation. Janet Samuel told members about plans to send representatives from Girl Guiding Sussex Central County to South Africa next year to work with orphan children.
Volunteers were also honoured: Natalie Schou, Judith Trappitt, Louise Wagger, Sammy Mayfield, and Sarah Sampson, who received long service awards. Kay MacNaughton, leader of 1 St Horsted Keynes Brownies, received her leadership qualification certificate.
The Haywards Heath division is currently looking for volunteers. For more information visit www.girlguiding.org.uk/interested
