Nearly 250 residents have taken part in a consultation into future health services in Mid Sussex , Horsham and Crawley.
The NHS Horsham and Mid Sussex CCG (Clinical Commissioning Group) has hosted consultation events in Burgess Hill, Crawley and Horsham.
At the events, residents were informed about proposed plans to secure the future of our NHS health and wellbeing services.
In response to plans, residents made many points including the following:
n Services need to work better together, with accessible communication systems to inform patients where and how to access the right service, first time. There should be a single point of access such as NHS111, or community / voluntary organisations directing patients to services.
n Longer GP appointment slots needed for vulnerable patients
n Services should be accessible to all, provided 8am to 8pm, seven day a week, with good transport links.
The five Communities Plan is still in draft format and the CCG is keen to hear more from residents. Two further public events will be held in East Grinstead on September 23 and Haywards Heath on September 25 to continue the conversation.
