Anyone interested in the future of Haywards Heath is being urged to attend a reception tonight (Thursday, January 30) where on-going developments and latest news will be in the spotlight.
The next Haywards Heath Town Team Stakeholder Briefing takes place at the Birch Hotel at 6pm.
Town Team chairman Ruth de Mierre, said: “We need every single person to carry on working together for the success of all, so please come along and join the party.”
The town team is responsible for the creation of the shopper’s Loyalty Card with offers from retailers, bars and other businesses. Sponsored by The Birch Hotel, the card is already being credited with bringing new shoppers and visitors into the area.
The so-called ‘village hubs’ are establishing with the Broadway Village having organised its own Christmas lights and now planning a series of events from spring onwards.
Burrell Road Business Park is re-branding itself and, with help from the mayor, Nuffield Hospital, Sainsbury’s, West Sussex County Council and the town team, is planting a World War I centenary garden. Finally, Mill Green Business Park has just launched, with 1st Central insurance taking a leading role and plans afoot for new signage.
In addition, the Station Quarter group is pulling together ideas and plans for residents and businesses around its ‘village’.
The town team briefing will catch-up on all the latest developments in each area as well as discuss the latest station news. Also on the agenda will be the future plans of Aria Assistance, the Birch Hotel refurbishment, the Orchards’ £7.5 million redevelopment and the new shops coming to Haywards Heath.
