Visitors to the popular gardens and beauty spots got a glimpse of the Spring to come after an early morning fog lifted.

A sunny spell highlighted by blue skies and a drop in the wind brought a delightful day, and drew crowds to such attractions as Sheffield Park Gardens, Nymans, and Wakehurst.

The weather was bright enough to attract many photographers to the tourists attractions in search of an early glimspse of colour in the countryside.
