Community innovators are holding an innovation event in Haywards Heath and want shoppers and visitors to come and take part.

In partnership with HHBDA, Haywards Heath Town Council and The Orchards Shopping Centre they are leading the drive to bring economic development to the town through innovation.

Through their community innovation programmes, Community Innovators aim to improve local economies by facilitating the interactions, relationships and activities that drive innovation.

Their initial focus is on organising events making use of empty retail units in shopping centres and High Streets to help the birth of new enterprises, new work opportunities, and new training opportunities.

The key theme of the first event is ‘Innovation, Well-being & Healthcare, Work & Enterprise and Research & Promotion’. Future events will bring into Haywards Heath international very useful new ventures to benefit West Sussex’s economy and job creation.

The event will take place on Saturday, February 23 at the shopping centre in Haywards Heath

Shoppers and visitors are able to have fun interacting with some architectural wellbeing products, gadgets that track toddlers or forgetful very elderly citizens, experiment with defibrillators which will be purchased for Haywards Heath, with funds raised by the April cycling event organised by the Haywards Heath and District Business Association, and see how a small solar panel can charge your iPhone or your computer while on picnic or camping in Sussex.
