The Neighbourhood Plan for the Lindfield and Lindfield Rural parishes has reached the next stage in its production with a draft called the Pre-submission Plan released on November 1 to begin a six week public consultation period for scrutiny and comment. Responses will be considered by the two parish councils and, where appropriate, amendment before the final version is passed to Mid Sussex District Council for checking by an independent inspector. The plan will then undergo another six week public consultation before being put to a referendum. If passed it will become the development plan for the two parishes up until 2031. The pre-submission plan can be seen at either of the parish offices or on Lindfield Parish website. A copy can be seen at Haywards Heath Library and the MSDC Planning office. How to comment is contained within it. Comments must be received at the parish offices by December 13.
Two ‘Pop-in’ sessions where the proposals can be seen and discussed with parish council representatives are on Tuesday November 19, 7pm to 9pm in the King Edward Hall, Lindfield, and Saturday November 23, 10am to 12pm in the Millennium Centre, Scaynes Hill.
