A Crawley man has been left seriously injured

A man in his 70s was rescued from his shed roof by firefighters and paramedics yesterday (August 21).

Two ambulance crews, paramedics and firefighters attended a house in Eastern Road, Lindfield, just after 4pm.

SECAmb (South East Coast Ambulance) said he was assessed and treated at the scene before being taken to Royal Sussex County Hospital in Brighton.

He was suffering from hip pain and was immobilised in case of other potential injuries.

The spokesman added that it was believed the man fell from another roof, onto the shed.
