Man taken to hospital after car hits lamppost on A24

Emergency services were called to the crash, involving one vehicle, near Ashington at around 7.40pm on Sunday (February 7).

Police said the car collided with a lamppost on the northbound carriageway.

The man, who was driving the car, was treated by paramedics and was taken to hospital with chest injuries.
