MP Soames' court appearance adjourned

Mid Sussex MP Nicholas Soames' appearance at Crawley Magistrates' Court has been adjourned.

Mr Soames, of Bells Farm, Warninglid, had been summonsed to answer two charges at Crawley Magistrates Court today.

Mr Soames faces charges of using a vehicle in a dangerous condition and no insurance.

The offences relate to an incident on New Year's Day when Mr Soames allegedly drove a quad bike and a trailer while following a meeting of the Crawley and Horsham Hunt.

Mr Soames, 60 is expected to appear at Crawley Court on May 14.
