The mayor of Haywards Heath Sandy Ellis cut the ribbon and welcomed a new business to the town last week.

Everest Spice started trading in The Broadway on March 6, but invited a number of local dignitaries, businesspeople and representatives of the Mid Sussex Times to a special launch event on the previous evening.

Cllr Ellis said: “I was very honoured to officially open Everest Spice.

“The food was simply wonderful and a lovely eating experience which was complimented by friendly staff and warm surroundings.

“I am sure they will be well supported and its nice to see a new restaurant in this vibrant part of our town which is known for its fine dining and bars.”

Everest Spice already has two branches in Surrey where it boasts a formidable reputation for serving quality food.

For example, its Redhill restaurant is rated number one out of 43 dining establishments in the town.

Members of Haywards Heath and District Business Association also enjoyed the food, with its chair Maureen Scholefield commenting: “Roshan Sapkota and his very professional team made the HHDBA committee very welcome, the food was superb and we found the subtle use of fresh spices excellent.

“HHDBA is pleased to welcome a new business to the association.

“Roshan has shown us that he values his customers and I am sure his business will grow!”

Our verdict was its reputation for excellence is well deserved and it comes highly recommended.
