Open gardens weekend raises £1,800 for charity

The Midhurst and District open gardens weekend raised £1,800 which will be donated to the Macmillan Palliative Care Service.

Sue Austin, chairman of the Macmillan Midhurst and District Open Gardens Group, said: "We are really pleased with the amount we have raised.

"Although we were slightly down on last year, the gardens felt just as busy and looked beautiful.

"I would like to thank everybody who got involved and those who attended and helped us raise vital funds for Macmillan in Midhurst."

Anyone who would like to be involved next year should contact Sue Austin on 01730 813513.
